The two-part finale revolves around Ross’s wedding with Emily taking place in London. Ross, Monica, Joey, and Chandler travel to London for the wedding. The wedding preparations were full of chaos - Ross was getting nervous about the marriage, Monica got upset because someone mistook her for Ross’s mother, Chandler was getting irritated by Joey as they went sightseeing in London, and the hall where the wedding was supposed to take place was torn down.

The rehearsal dinner was not any different as Ross’s parents got angry looking at the bills for the wedding that Emily’s parents gave them to pay. Chandler and Joey, being the best men, decided to give a speech at the dinner but nobody was entertained by their speech. In the meantime, Chandler and Monica’s friendship takes a drastic romantic turn. The final episode ends at the wedding where Ross unintentionally takes Rachel’s name instead of Emily during the vows in front of all the guests.

Chandler’s grouchy behavior in London is the sum of all of the things that happened at the wedding. At first, Joey and Chandler decide to go sightseeing in London and Chandler gets irritated by Joey’s over-excitement and his constant “London Baby” chants. Joey kept taking photographs of him every other second and embarrassed him by buying weird souvenir hats and roaming around with a map in his hand. After getting frustrated all day, he decides to leave Joey. He ends up spending his day alone at the hotel and gets upset when Joey tells him that he met Sarah, Duchess of York after Chandler left.

After that, they all got ready for the rehearsal dinner and Chandler was excited to give a speech in honor of Ross and Emily. People in the room didn't find Chandler’s speech funny as no one got his references. Chandler got upset and embarrassed because he thought that he would give the funniest speech and people would love it. He was finding it uncomfortable to talk to people at the wedding.

The feeling of loneliness led Monica and Chandler to each other. One thing led to another and they ended up sleeping with each other. Both of them got awkward after it and tried to hide the secrets about their rendezvous. When Joey asks Chandler about Monica, he gets stressed as if he got caught and denied knowing about Monica’s whereabouts. Chandler feels guilty and stressed because of their secret and replies rudely to Joey to which he says that Chandler got meaner in London.
