Steffy turned down Bill's marriage proposal. At Bill's mansion, a fight erupted between Bill and Ridge, and Bill shamelessly expressed his feelings for Steffy. Someone shot Bill during a blackout caused by a windstorm. After Katie found Bill bleeding on the floor, Bill immediately underwent surgery. Spouses and loved ones awkwardly questioned each other about whether they'd shot Bill. Ridge confronted Sheila about her role in the shooting. Thomas arrived in town and told Sally that Bill had lied about Caroline dying. The smug Justin informed Wyatt that Justin was next in line to run Spencer.

After Claire interrupted Rafe and Hope's wedding, Rafe confessed to Hope about his affair. Hope told Rafe that she needed time to think. Ciara lost her temper and punched Claire for ruining the wedding. Hope forgave Claire for interrupting the wedding with the truth. Ciara pleaded with her mother to think about saving her marriage. Jennifer also urged Hope to think about saving her marriage to Rafe. A guilty Eli confessed to Gabi about his affair with Lani. Eli lied about the paternity of Lani's baby. Lani was hospitalized after severe cramping, but Kayla approved her to return to work. Eli was overly protective of Lani's pregnancy. Ciara overheard Claire talking about submitting herself for the cover of Bella magazine. Abigail started to notice that she was losing time. Stefan planted the evidence for Andre's murder in Arianna's overnight bag. Lani caught a panicked Gabi after Gabi attempted to dump the evidence in the trash. Stefan confronted Gabby and met another alter, Dr. Laura. Maggie refused to reconcile with Victor until he told Eve about his scheme with Brady. Brady proposed to Eve. During the wedding, Eve interrupted her vows to say that she refused to marry Brady.

An earthquake rocked Port Charles. Several were injured, but there were no fatalities. Peter persuaded Maxie to take a test to find out if her baby had inherited the gene for Huntington's disease. Nina asked Kim if there had been any medical breakthroughs that might help Nina have a baby. Anna and Andre tracked down the daughter of the midwife who had delivered Anna's baby, and they were shocked to learn that Anna had given birth to a baby boy rather than a girl, as Valentin had claimed. Sonny and Carly asked Mike to stay with them, but Mike balked at losing his independence and becoming a burden. Elizabeth was certain that Franco had had a good reason for not showing up at the church, but Franco was reluctant to tell her about his encounter with Jim. Jim shared Franco's secret with Drew. Sam tearfully confessed to Jason that she still loved him and prayed each day that she would get a glimpse of him. Sam reunited with Drew at the hospital and told him that they needed to talk. Elizabeth overheard a revealing conversation between Sam and Jason. Nelle lost her home in the earthquake, prompting Monica to insist that Nelle stay at the Quartermaine mansion.

Nick moved in with Sharon over objections from his family and Phyllis. After a heart-to-heart with Nick, Billy had a serious conversation with Phyllis about her obsession with protecting Nick. Devon turned down Hilary's request that he father her child. Hilary learned that Shauna hadn't been going to school and vowed not to turn her back on the teen. Cane objected when Charlie announced that he wasn't going to college. Dina was found safe in London, and Jack flew overseas to escort her home. Dina's condition continued to deteriorate, and she lashed out at Ashley. Jack and Victoria plotted for J.T. to find Ashley's watermarked documents in Jack's desk. J.T. was irked when Victor removed him from the investigation. Victoria confided to Nikki that she was keeping something from J.T. Victoria was taken aback to find negative comments about her on the anonymous employee feedback site. Victoria made a lame attempt to smooth things over with her employees, but the situation got worse when Ashley confronted Victoria during a staff meeting. Fed up with Victoria's criticism and demands, Lily resigned from Newman and decided to start her own modeling agency as part of Hamilton-Winters. Abby returned from Europe and informed Victoria that Victor had approved her return to company headquarters. Victor fired Ashley, who threatened to sue for wrongful termination. Abby presented Victor with evidence that Victoria and Jack had set Ashley up.
