Angell Conwell: A Brief Biography
At A Glance
Angell Conwell was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina and moved to Columbia, South Carolina at the age of two. She attended Seven Oaks Elementary School in Columbia where she was the first African-American student body president. After winning countless pageants locally, she signed with Wilhelmina's Kids Division in New York at the age of 10 and soon landed a role in August Wilson's highly acclaimed, Fences.
