At A Glance
Emmy Award-winning actor, Vincent Irizarry, has always had a passion for the arts. His first professional job came on the off-Broadway stage at the New York Shakespeare Festival, where he was directed by the Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff in his original musical, "The Death of Von Richthoven." His most recent television credits include guest starring roles on the hit primetime dramas, "Homeland" and "NCIS: Los Angeles," as well as in the Lifetime telefilm, "Left to Die," starring opposite Barbara Hershey. Irizarry was also recently seen starring in the feature film, "Worth: The Testimony of Johnny St. James," opposite Eric Roberts, Corey Feldman, and Jeffrey Johnson.
In television, Irizarry scored as the anti-hero, Lujack, on the "Guiding Light," a role which earned him a Daytime Emmy-nomination. Soon after, Irizarry moved to Los Angeles, where he worked opposite Nancy McKeon in the television movie "Firefighter;" with Treat Williams, Peter Coyote, and Robert Loggia in Joseph Wambaugh's Echoes in the Darkness, as well as many guest-starring roles on series such as "L.A. Law," "Hotel," and "Murder She Wrote." Irizarry also won critical acclaim when he was offered the lead role in Jackie Collins' NBC miniseries "Lucky Chances," where he portrayed 40 years in the life of character Gino Santangelo. A few more of his most memorable roles would include another star turn in the telefilm, "Lying Eyes," in his passionate portrayal of a man whose insatiable desires lead him to live a double life of deceit, eventually at the expense of losing everything of real value to himself; and a recurring role on "Beverly Hills, 90210," as the charming but lethal pimp, Riggs, just to name a few.
Irizarry first joined the cast of "All My Children" in November of 1997, in the short-term contract role of the manipulative and menacing Dr. David Hayward. Due to his incredible popularity, Dr. David Hayward returned to Pine Valley in June of 1998 in this contract role, creating a web of lies, deception and manipulation along the way. The role earned him an Emmy win as Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2009, as well as a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2002. Other TV credits include principal roles on both "Santa Barbara" and "Young and the Restless," in the roles of Dr. Scott Clark and David Chow, respectively.
Other features film roles would include playing Sissy Spacek's abusive husband in "Marie" A True Story, as well as co-starring in Clint Eastwood's "Heartbreak Ridge" for Warner Bros.
