Davetta Sherwood: A Brief Biography
At A Glance
Davetta Sherwood began acting at the age of seven and appeared in several school productions throughout middle and high school including A Raisin in the Sun, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and A Star Spangle Girl.
She was featured in the Vitamin C music video Friends Forever, the Bow Wow video My Baby and the Lil' J video Girlfriend. She also appeared in several national television commercials including Burger King, Kmart and Allstate Insurance.
Most recently, Sherwood had a starring role on the series Platinum. She guest-starred on The Bernie Mac Show, Boston Public and My Wife and Kids. Her film credits include Back in the Day, the independent feature A Talent 4 Trouble and the horror film Venom.
In her spare time, Sherwood enjoys swimming, basketball, soccer, roller blading, skating, writing and rapping. In addition to her acting career, she plans to pursue a future in producing, directing and writing. Sherwood currently resides in the Los Angeles area.
