No, Dr. Callie Torres doesn’t die in Grey’s Anatomy.

Callie Torres is a board member and former head of orthopedic surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. She presently lives in New York with her ex-wife, Arizona Robbins, and their daughter, Sofia Robbin Sloan Torres.

Introduced in the second season of Grey’s Anatomy, the character gained a lot of popularity as the series went on, and television critics praised Ramirez's portrayal of Torres. After ten years on the show, Ramirez left at the end of Season 12 to take a break and look for new opportunities.

The American medical drama Grey’s Anatomy created by Shonda Rhimes is set in the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and revolves around the professional and personal lives of the surgical interns, residents, and attendings, with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) as the titular character.

What happened to Callie Torres?

In season 7, Torres hesitantly accepts Robbins' offer of a prestigious scholarship to cure orphans in Malawi in exchange for a three-year stay. Robbins, however, breaks up with her and leaves her alone because of her lack of excitement.

Torres moves in with Sloan after the heartbreak, which results in another one-night encounter. Later, Robbins comes back and begs for forgiveness, but Torres first rejects her. Torres soon finds out she is carrying Sloan's child.

Despite her worries about Sloan's ongoing involvement with their lives, Robbins consents to raise the child. Robbins proposes to Torres when they are traveling, but before she can react, they are involved in a head-on collision with a truck, which seriously injures Torres.

Torres's life is saved by obstetrician-gynecologist Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh), who also delivers their premature baby through emergency surgery. Both make it out alive, and Torres agrees to Robbins's marriage proposal. Torres handles family conflicts when she heals from her injuries, especially those involving her mother (Gina Gallego), who disagrees with the wedding, and their daughter, Sofia. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) officiates Torres and Robbins' marriage in a garden ceremony despite these obstacles.

Why did Callie and Arizona get divorced?

Following a plane disaster that kills Sloan and Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh), Callie and Arizona's relationship is put to the test. Deep resentment develops in their relationship as a result of Torres' difficult decision to have Robbins' leg amputated by Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) to save her life. With help from the Harper Avery Foundation, Torres, Robbins, and other survivors buy the hospital as it approaches bankruptcy, and they join the hospital's new board of directors.

Their marriage gets worse by Arizona's adultery with Lauren Boswell (Hilarie Burton). After Callie finds out about the affair, they have a heated argument, during which it becomes clear that Arizona will never forgive Callie for her decision to amputate her leg. Callie moves in with Meredith and Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) while managing co-parenting with Arizona as a result of their separation.

Callie and Arizona purchase a new home together and try to conceive a second child after a failed lawsuit and effort at reconciliation. However, Callie finds out that complications from past surgery prevent her from becoming a mother again. Feeling suffocated, Callie ultimately chooses to dissolve their marriage despite trying therapy.
