According to the prequel series of The Big Bang Theory, “Young Sheldon”, it is revealed that Amy and Sheldon have 2 kids.


The Big Bang Theory is one of America’s biggest sitcoms that has lasted for around 12 years. The series introduces a group of friends namely, Sheldon, Leonard, Rajesh, Howard, and Penny, who spend most of their time together delivering various memorable moments tackling various aspects of life such as love, friendship, jealousy, bonds, and much more.


The Big Bang Theory was aired back on September 24, 2007, on the CBS network and ran for a total of 12 seasons, ending its journey on May 16, 2019. While the series ended in 2019, the makers were not done making their audience laugh, creating a spin-off series of the series’ main character Sheldon Cooper. The spin-off series was set as a prequel to the events of The Big Bang Theory and was titled Young Sheldon.


Were Sheldon and Amy’s kids revealed in The Big Bang Theory?


No, it was during the episodes of Young Sheldon when it was revealed that Amy and Sheldon do have babies in the future. During the 4th season of the prequel series, the episode titled "Graduation," it was revealed that Sheldon and Amy have their first child, a son, after getting married and they name him Leonard. It is said that Sheldon named his son Leonard after his best friend Leonard Hofstadter in The Big Bang Theory, and also Leonard Nimoy, who is an influential character from Star Trek.


Apart from Leonard, Sheldon and Amy are known to have another kid in their family. While the child's name and gender were not revealed on either Young Sheldon or The Big Bang Theory, Cooper drops slight hints of having another child. In Young Sheldon season 6, episode 19 titled, "A New Weather Girl and Stay-At-Home Coddler," we see Sheldon from the future narrating an instance where he claims his dad was right about his theory regarding Sheldon’s kids blaming him for anything happening in their lives.

When do Sheldon and Amy get married in The Big Bang Theory?


Sheldon and Amy’s marriage in The Big Bang Theory takes place during the season finale of season 11 titled "The Bow Tie Asymmetry". This episode was released on May 10, 2018, and had many guest actors introduced in the series, including Mark Hamill, Jerry O'Connell, Laurie Metcalf, Courtney Henggeler, and Will Wheaton among others. The episode was filled with laughter and emotions as the season ended with two friends turning into a happy married couple.

The episode starts with Sheldon making sure that their wedding's seating arrangement is pitch-perfect as he is obsessed with making his wedding with Amy scientifically perfect. As the episode proceeds, Sheldon finds out that he has made a scientific breakthrough in superasymmetry inspired by Amy's bridal beauty, which makes him momentarily forget his own wedding itself. Meanwhile, their friends try to make Amy and Sheldon's wedding special for them while working their way through some comical mishaps. The wholesome episode ends with Sheldon and Amy officially becoming husband and wife, surrounded by their friends and family.
