Grace Van Dien played the role of Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things. She is an American actress and social media personality, born on October 15, 1996 in Los Angeles. She comes from a family of actors, which started with her great-grandfather Robert Mitchum. She first appeared on TV with her family on a reality show 'I Married a Princess' in 2005. Before officially starting her career, she appeared in small roles in her father Casper Van Dien's films throughout her childhood.


She is best known for her role as Brooke Osmond in Netflix’s Greenhouse (2017) and Katie Campbell in NBC’s The Village (2019). She made a guest appearance in season 4 of Netflix’s Stranger Things as Chrissy Cunningham. She also acted in several films, including Sleeping Beauty (2014), Charlie Says (2018), What Comes Around (2022), and more.


She started streaming on the live streaming service Twitch in 2021. She has gained over 200,000 followers on her channel within three months. Currently, she has 1.3 million followers on Instagram. In 2024, she started dating social media personality Johnnie Guilbert.

Chrissy Cunningham appeared in the 1st episode of Season 4 of Stranger Things, titled 'Chapter One: The Hellfire Club,' with mentions of her character throughout the season. She was the head cheerleader and one of the most popular students at Hawkins High School. She was dating the captain of the basketball team, Jason Carver. Behind her perfect appearance, she struggled with depression and self-image issues due to her mother’s emotional abuse.


Things get worse when she starts hallucinating disturbing visuals of being chased by creatures from the Upside Down. She asks her friend Eddie Munson for help in understanding why she is having these supernatural experiences. Despite his help, Vecna kills her psychically from another dimension. Eddie failed to wake her from a trance, and she became Vecna's first victim.
