Despite Quinn's manipulations, Hope chose to stay in Hawaii with Wyatt, who took the opportunity to plan a romantic day for her. Liam squared off against Quinn and let her know that her manipulations wouldn't keep him and Hope apart. Brooke revealed to Ridge that she'd been involved in an affair with Bill, and the devastated Ridge visited Katie to lend her some emotional support. Bill urged Brooke not to let Ridge cause her to succumb to the resurgence of guilt about the affair, and Bill asked her to see that punishing herself wouldn't make their feelings go away.

What happened during the week of December 30, 2013
Brady fought with Daniel after Daniel accused him of using drugs again. Brady agreed to go to an A.A. meeting, but instead he went off to buy more drugs. Daniel and Nicole saved Brady from danger in the park. Daniel, Eric, Nicole, and Maggie offered Brady their support. Gabi, Kate, Sami, E.J., and Sami were concerned that Will would not keep their secret. Down at the riverbank, Will ran into the man who could reveal the secret about Nick's murder. Jennifer called J.J. on his stunt to ruin her date with Liam. To help Sonny, Sami and E.J. helped tend bar on New Year's Eve. Nicole tried to fight her attraction to Eric, and Eric told Father Matt that he had feelings for Nicole. E.J. gave Sami an ultimatum to pick a date for their wedding. Sami demanded that E.J. first come clean to her about Kristen's plan to drug Eric. Gabi panicked when Abigail got a text message from Nick. Gabi told E.J. that Abigail might tell Hope about the text messages from Nick. Kate asked Lucas to help her reveal Jordan's mysterious past.

What happened during the week of December 30, 2013
Maxie paid Lulu a visit to apologize and to let Lulu know about Maxie's plan to leave town for a while. Lulu admitted that she and Maxie had both said some things that they could never take back, but she wished Maxie well. Maxie sublet her apartment to Detective Nathan West before leaving town. Anna agreed to accept the young detective's transfer request when Nathan explained his reasons for wanting to move to Port Charles. Silas and Sam made love on New Year's Eve, but Silas' good spirits quickly faded when Nathan caught up with Silas at the hospital. Dante and Lulu were shocked when Britt revealed that Lulu didn't have any viable eggs to harvest for fertilization. Lulu was devastated by the news and decided to move out of the loft because she had nothing left to give, and she continued to resent Dante for not having had her back when she had needed him most. Robin and Patrick rang in the New Year by renewing their vows. Emma was delighted when her parents asked her to officiate the impromptu recommitment ceremony. Felix suggested that Sabrina's bout of sickness was a result of pregnancy, so he pushed her to take a pregnancy test. Sabrina was stunned when the test confirmed that she was pregnant. Morgan decided that he wanted out of the Jerome organization, so he paid Julian a visit.

Abby and Tyler decided to move in together, but the tattooed woman continued to follow them. Someone anonymously sent a cake bearing the phrase "forget me not" to the Baldwins, and Fen believed that it was a message from Womack. Billy and Kelly shared a passionate encounter, and a guilty Billy resolved to make things up to Victoria. Victoria innocently invited Kelly to dinner. Kelly and Stitch had a mysterious past connection and expressed disdain toward one another. Chloe didn't correct a stranger who assumed that Connor was Chloe's baby. Noah found prescription drugs in Courtney's purse. Dylan went to Idaho to learn more about Ian Ward. Neil threw an engagement party for Leslie on New Year's Eve, but she seemed hesitant to make wedding plans. Victor disapproved when he saw Sharon and Nick kissing. Traci and Ashley surprised Jack with a visit on New Year's Eve. Adam swore that Victor would never be part of Connor's life. Jack agreed to become Connor's godfather and ultimately the boy's guardian if something happened to Adam. Adam asked Avery to return the video confession he'd given her for safekeeping. Adam and Chelsea both admitted that they wanted to remarry. Alex questioned an ex-convict who was a possible eyewitness to Delia's accident, but the witness wanted a deal in exchange for information. Victor's investigator found evidence that Adam had purchased a new replacement turn light, and Victor concluded that Adam had killed Delia.
