Channing Matthew Tatum is an American actor and producer known for his work in various movies and television series. Tatum started his journey as a full-time actor in the 2005 drama, Coach Carter. Before entering the movie industry, he was credited for appearing in a music video titled She Bangs by Ricky Martin in 2000, where he appeared as a dancer.

Other projects that Channing Tatum was part of include titles like The Vow (2012), Foxcatcher (2014), The Hateful Eight (2015), Hail, Caesar! (2016), Logan Lucky (2017), and The Lost City (2022), among many others. The actor recently made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the Gambit, in Deadpool and Wolverine.

Channing Tatum's ex-wife

Channing Tatum is currently unmarried. He was married to actress Jenna Dewan but the two called their marriage off in 2018. Tatum and Dewan met on the sets of the film Step Up, in 2006 and fell in love. Two years later, the Magic Mike actor proposed to Dewan in 2008 in Maui.

On July 11. 2009 Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan got married in Malibu, California, in front of 220 guests, as per People. Speaking about his wedding the actor told the magazine, "I'm as happy as I possibly can be on the planet right now.”

However, in 2018, through People, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their separation. A part of their statement read, “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now."

Jenna Dewan filed for a divorce 6 months after her split with Channing Tatum, the reason being irreconcilable differences. In 2019, Tatum and Dewan were declared officially single.

Channing Tatum has a daughter named Everly with Jenna. They welcomed their daughter in May 2013 and announced her birth on their respective social handles. They captioned the post, “Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Everly Tatum, who was born on May 31st in London. Sending love and light to Chan, Jenna, and Ms. Everly!"

As of 2025, Everly Tatum will turn 12 this May and is being co-parented by Jenna and Channing Tatum. Post their split, Dewan opened up about co-parenting Everly with ex-husband Channing. She told Harper’s Bazaar "We're just getting used to it. We’re in a very positive energy together, trying to be the best parents to Everly. We support each other."

Dewan called co-parenting a ‘journey’ during an interview with Romper in 2024. Jenna added, “It never ends. You just learn as you go and get better at certain things, and for me, Evie will always be my top priority. I just continually put her first. That’s how I can manage all hard things.”

Channing Tatum’s parents are Kay and Glenn Tatum. The actor’s mother was an airline worker, whereas his father was into construction. Tatum was born to them on April 26, 1980, in Cullman, Alabama. There isn’t much more information available on Tatum’s parents’ personal life. The actor also has a sister named Paige.
