Ramón de Armas and Ana Caso are Ana de Armas’ parents. Her father, Ramón de Armas, was well-educated and studied philosophy in the Soviet Union before coming back to Cuba. Over the years, he has worked as a teacher, principal, bank manager, and even deputy mayor of their hometown. He passed away in 2021 due to prostate cancer, and in an interview with Variety, she shared how his passing changed her experience of working on Blonde.

She said, “I see this movie completely different now. There are days I watch it, and I don’t think about that at all — or I leave the room. I had an incredible father for 32 years. And not having it now, I can only imagine what it would have been, not having it at all.” Her mother, Ana Caso, worked in the HR department at Cuba’s Ministry of Education. In an interview with On Cuba Magazine, she talked about her parents and said, “My parents supported me in everything, they always have.”

In an interview with the Golden Globes, she talked about her parents and background and said, “I come from a modest family in Cuba, both my parents are workers, we’re no one’s children, no one’s cousins, we don’t know anyone. Ana de Armas’ brother and grandparents

Javier Caso is Ana de Armas’ elder brother. He is a photographer based in New York City. Unlike his sister, there is not much information available about him as he is a private person. In an interview with Ramp Space, she talked about her grandmother and said, “I also have wonderful memories of my grandmother, who died when I was very young.
