While she tries to find a way to Hopper, she gets to Murray and convinces him to help her out in this matter.

The series continues Murray and Joyce’s journey and travels to a secret Russian base where Hopper is captive. While Murray’s quirky, skeptical personality added a bit of humor to Hopper’s rescue, our vigilant journalist proved to be one of the key assets in their escape mission. While Hopper was a bit angry at Murray for his behavior in Season 2 the two kept their differences aside, becoming quite good partners through the remainder of the series.

Murray’s Personality in Stranger Things


In Stranger Things, Murray Bauman was introduced as a highly intelligent and knowledgeable journalist who had entered Hawkins with a single agenda of making the front page of the newspaper he worked for - the Chicago Sun-Times. Murray was seen to be having speculations that there were alien sightings in the city and that he was one of the few people to know that the Russians in the series were behind it all.

Throughout the series, Murray was shown to be extremely vigilant, quite clever in his words, highly calculative, and straightforward in attitude, which were high indications of him being an effective journalist and detective in his field. Apart from being straightforward, Murray is also known to be quite sarcastic, easily skeptical, and quirky in nature which brings out quite a fun side to the character in the series.
