Creed was introduced in the 1st episode of the show as a quality assurance manager in the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. At first, he was a quiet employee in the background, but he quickly became known for his strange comments. He often shared disturbing yet funny incidents of his life. He acts disconnected from reality and often forgets his coworkers' names. He didn't have basic workplace etiquette and sometimes shared information about illegal activities.

Throughout the show, he often shared about his shady past before he started working in Dunder Mifflin. He shared that he has made many fake identities and was involved in shady business. One of his most popular moments is when he comes to work covered in blood on Halloween and says, “That is really good timing.” It was never made clear in the show whether he was telling the truth or exaggerating. One time, in order to not get fired during a branch downsizing, he pretended to be someone else.

In the final season, it was revealed that Creed was living in the office to hide from the police. He eventually got arrested in the end, but before that he sings an emotional farewell song.
