Arnaud Binard plays Sylvie’s husband, Laurent Grateau in Emily in Paris. He is a French producer and actor best recognized for his parts in popular detective or romantic television shows that are aired across the French-speaking world. His parents were sports teachers who oversaw the old public seawater pools in the coastal town of Seignosse-le-Penon, where Binard was raised.


He began working in theater at the age of fourteen and experimented with many aspects of acting for several years, saying that "the pleasure of acting never left me." In Bordeaux, he pursued his career in theater while simultaneously pursuing a degree in physical education. He started his career on stage in the mid-1980s and expanded it by traveling to Paris in 1996 to enroll in the Jean Darnel course at the Théâtre de l'Atelier. He went from classical repertoire to street theater through improvisation.


He has worked for a number of years in both film (À l'aventure, ID:A) and television (Le Dernier Seigneur des Balkans, Alice Nevers, Le Ciel sur la tête, Empreintes criminelles, etc.). He played Brooklyn Cott in season two of the television series Guidestones in 2014. He established the Bordeaux-based TV production company Atelier K-plan in November 2014. He has been starring in Agathe Koltès (France 3) as Captain Fontaine since 2016.
