Actors Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, and Naomi J Ogawa will not be returning to season 2 of the series Wednesday.


Wednesday is an American Gothic supernatural mystery series that revolves around Wednesday Addams, the main character, who was shown being expelled from her high school after retaliating for her brother, who used to get bullied by the school's water polo team, by dumping live man-eating piranhas into the school's pool. She eventually makes her way to her parents’ alma mater Nevermore Academy where she learns that she has psychic abilities which she uses to solve various mysteries in the school.


Wednesday was created by famous showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The series got its first season out back on November 23, 2022, and has a total of 8 episodes released to date. The series is exclusive to the streaming giant Netflix and is set to release season 2 sometime in 2025. The 1st season of the series received various accolades in the industry having around 2 Golden Globe nominations, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and 2 Saturn Awards among others.


Who quit Wednesday season 2?


While most of the main cast members were revealed to be available to reprise their roles in the 2nd season of Wednesday, the streaming platform confirmed that there are some characters who are not returning. According to Netflix, actors Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, and Naomi J Ogawa will not be available for the 2nd season of the show.


Percy Hynes White played the role of Xavier Thorpe, who was one of the students at Nevermore Academy alongside Wednesday. He was also shown to have psychic abilities like bringing his painting to life and often got visions in the form of dreams. Jamie McShane plays the role of Donovan Galpin who is Jericho's sheriff and one of the characters who is highly suspicious of Wednesday. While this character was shown as one of the main characters in season one, he was shown as a guest role in season 2.


Lastly, Naomi J Ogawa was shown playing a supporting character in the series. She went by the name of Yoko Tanaka, who was a student of Nevermore Academy and was a vampire.
