An officer went in hot pursuit of Sheila, but she lost him in traffic near Beverly Hills, her old stomping grounds. Bill made another plea for Katie to give him a chance, but when she turned him down, he seemed to sink further into a dark place. Katie went in for her annual heart monitoring results, and Carter surprised her by showing up to support her. Katie received encouraging test results, and she looked forward to a future with a man who actually listened to her and heard her. As the Forresters and Logans celebrated Christmas, Pam and Charlie dangled a little nugget of destiny before Brooke and Ridge, who couldn't resist taking a nibble.

Ryan questioned Heather about his necklace with mementos of his victims that she had stolen from him, but Heather was evasive. Sparks flew between Dex and Josslyn when he found her stranded on the side of the road. Chase was stunned when Dante told him that Brook Lynn had intervened on Chase's behalf and that the review board had agreed to take another look at Chase's case in the spring. Chase performed with Blaze at Rice Plaza, but he made it clear to Brook Lynn that it was over. Maxie called it quits with Austin. Maxie had to go to great lengths to spend Christmas with Georgie. Ellie Trout had a surprising connection to Griffin Munroe. Spencer and Trina joined forces to lure Esme out of hiding. Ava confronted Elizabeth about the affair with Nikolas, and Elizabeth claimed she had suffered a miscarriage. Tessa arranged a romantic Christmas Eve for Mariah by booking a suite at the Grand Phoenix. Mariah and Tessa simultaneously dreamed about a young, pregnant woman giving birth at Crimson Lights on Christmas Day and later deciding to keep her baby. On Christmas, Mariah and Tessa were overjoyed when a prospective birth mother reached out to them with a sonogram photo and expressed interest in meeting them.
