Mallet walked up as Dinah and Jeffrey were going head to head about the fire versus the Spaulding endorsement. Jeffrey excused himself, and Mallet looked suspicious. A customer recognized Dinah from the Springfield Burns website he was viewing on his computer. On it, the blog exposed that Dinah and Jeffrey had been at the pond during the fire. There were also explicit pictures of the two. Dinah explained to Mallet that because it had been hot, she had gone for a swim and had run into Jeffrey.

Mallet asked Dinah to give her an honest answer to the question, "What do you know about the fire?" Dinah told Mallet that if he were worried about her and Jeffrey having a relationship, he need not. The only relationship the two had was that O'Neill wanted a Spaulding endorsement. Mallet left, telling her he'd see her back at the hotel. Mallet returned to their burned room and discovered that all of his clothes were missing from the wardrobe and dresser.

Reva and Billy prepared to see her kids. Billy suggested she wear a red dress to fit her vibrant personality. Hawk and Dylan arrived, and Reva took a few private moments with each of them to tell them how much they meant to her and how much she loved them. Dylan joked that Reva had to have had a drink or two, considering her gushing and going down memory lane. Billy sent Hawk and Dylan off to meet Maura and Shane while he and Reva freshened up.

Throughout their visit, Hawk kept mentioning Josh's absence. When Hawk and Dylan left, Reva expressed how hard it was for her. Billy insisted she should include Josh. Reva said she'd tell Josh when she was ready to face the truth about him and Cassie.

In San Cristobel , Josh and Cassie kissed a lot and talked about their new relationship and how Reva would always be a love in Josh's life. However, Josh wanted to be happy in the present and not in two weeks or months when Reva was ready to return home. After being "caught" by Mrs. Chitwood, the two decided to return to Springfield to start their new life together without sneaking around.

In the trio's room at the Beacon, Lizzie watched Jonathan sleep and touched his face, which caused him to awaken. She said she had sat on the bed because she'd had a cramp in her leg. Jonathan got some lotion and rubbed it on her calf. While not a romantic moment, Alan and Beth saw it as one when they barged into the room, bearing gifts for the baby. When Jonathan told them to leave, Lizzie told him she had invited them there. She wanted a safe place to talk to them.

Lizzie demanded Alan and Beth turn her money over to her. Alan and Beth explained to her that Alan was the executor of Philip's estate and had all control over when she got her inheritance. Lizzie grew furious and accused Beth of wanting to take her baby. Alan implied that he planned to have Lizzie committed because she was a danger to herself and her baby. He said he only wanted what was best for her and the baby.

Lizzie began a meltdown, screaming, "Was it best that you shot my daddy? That you married my mother?" She cried and screamed that she'd be a better mother than Beth had been and yelled that she hated both of them. She tore apart their gift. She was completely hysterical, and Jonathan made Beth and Alan leave.

After Beth and Alan were gone, Lizzie was hysterically repeating over and over that Alan was going to go after her and the baby. Jonathan looked both worried and sympathetic. Alan and Beth returned to the mansion. Alan said he was right about Lizzie's mental state -- that she was acting just as Philip had toward the end.

Mallet was on Main Street with the fire inspector. He mentioned that his clothes were missing from the room at the Beacon and asked if someone from the fire department might have taken them. The fire inspector said that they had determined the fire to be suspicious. Later, Dinah met up with Mallet to see a movie. In an attempt to get her to open up about the fire, he asked her if she liked his new shirt, adding that he'd had to buy it because all his clothes were missing. She responded by taking him shopping, but first they went to Company for lunch.

The fire inspector arrived at Company to thank Mallet for the lead he had given earlier on the Beacon fire. The fire marshal then told Dinah he would like to ask her some questions about the fire. Dinah asked for a moment alone with Mallet first. She asked him where his so-called loyalty was. He said he was trying to protect her, and she countered that he was leading the fire inspector straight to her. Mallet begged her to tell him what she knew about the fire. Dinah looked as though she was about to tell him what she had done when the fire inspector returned, and Dinah was led off in handcuffs to be questioned.

As Jonathan and Tammy prepared to go to the beach, a flustered Lizzie entered and told Jonathan that someone in a black car in the parking lot was watching her. Jonathan told her the black car was one Olivia used for hotel guests and to calm down. Lizzie stormed out and took refuge in an ice cream sundae at Company. She noticed a stranger watching her, and he followed her when she left. Lizzie raced back to the Beacon and found she had forgotten her key, so she ran outside.

The stranger cornered Lizzie, and Jonathan rushed out to save her as she screamed. The stranger said he had only been trying to return her wallet he'd found on the ground. Lizzie tried to convince Jonathan that it was part of Alan's plan to make her look crazy, but Jonathan told her it was all in her head. As Jonathan and Tammy were in another room, discussing Lizzie's antics, Lizzie thought she heard footsteps out in the hall. There was no one there when Jonathan checked.

Later, Lizzie was resting when she awakened with a start and vowed to protect her baby. Meanwhile, Alan wheeled a baby carriage into a nursery at the Spaulding mansion -- a nursery with several locks on the door.

Josh and Cassie arrived at Company for their first public outing as a couple. Josh first called Reva and left her a voicemail, telling her he would always care for her, but he had moved on. Once inside, they told Buzz they would like a quiet table for two. Buzz responded by asking about Reva. As Buzz served their lunch, Josh stepped outside to take a phone call. Buzz said, "I have a question," to which Cassie replied by going on a long rant about how she and Josh deserved to be happy, and Reva was nowhere to be found.

Josh returned, heard Cassie talking to Buzz, and assumed Buzz had said something to upset her. Josh went off on Buzz a bit too. They left a bewildered Buzz, who hadn't managed to get a word in at all, and headed to Main Street. As they were enjoying dessert and sweet nothings at CO2, Josh told Cassie how easily things were going for them. He was happy that no one was confronting them, and they shared a kiss -- just as Hawk showed up.

"Well, well, well, ain't this cozy," he said. He tore into them for hurting Reva. Hawk mentioned that the entire family had been in New York together, which surprised Josh and Cassie. Cassie asked Hawk how Reva was doing. Hawk told them that something was definitely off with her, and she was not herself -- and he had figured out why.

Josh explained that Reva's state wasn't their fault because she didn't yet know about him and Cassie. Hawk said that though Reva had made some mistakes, she would never steal her sister's husband. Josh reminded Hawk that Reva had slept with both Josh's brother and his father. Josh then told Hawk that if he didn't like his and Cassie's relationship, he could "go to hell." Hawk left but not before telling Cassie he was glad her mama wasn't alive to see what she was doing.

Reva had a heartfelt goodbye with Dylan before sending him off to the airport with Billy. After they left, she passed out. When Billy returned and found her, he wanted to call an ambulance -- and Josh. Reva convinced him to let her rest in bed instead. She told Billy that she just needed some time to recuperate from seeing the kids and keeping up a charade. She said she didn't want to face Josh and Cassie until she was stronger. She noticed there was a message from Josh on her cell phone but did not listen to it.

Harley and Marina prepped Frank for a blind date -- using headphones to monitor their progress -- while Buzz, as a favor to Olivia, appeared on TV in a cook-off with a celebrity chef. Ava and Coop were planning to go out as well, but ended up staying in to help an overwhelmed Ashlee -- and greet the health inspector.

Frank's date wondered if he and his father were still fighting over Olivia. He realized she was a tabloid reporter. She ditched the tape recorder, he unplugged the headphones, and they decided to go forward. They ended up at the cook-off, where Ava yelled at Olivia for putting Buzz in such a humiliating position, and a food fight promptly broke out. They were all arrested.

In jail, the Cooper men talked and reached an understanding. Afterwards, Frank got a kiss from his date, Coop and Ava finally made love...and Frank found Olivia's bag -- with Springfield Burns photos inside.

As Gus and Harley questioned Dinah, Mallet demanded Jeffrey tell him what was going on between him and Ms. Marler. Jeffrey claimed they'd just made a deal for Spaulding's endorsement of his candidacy, and he later got Dinah's charges dropped. Having made a deal with Jeffrey, Dinah told Mallet to get lost.

Alan told Beth, Alex, Alan-Michael, and Lillian that Lizzie had lost touch with reality. Lizzie appeared and didn't help her case by screeching that Alan wanted to steal her baby. She threatened to kill Alan if he tried to take her baby. She went to Alan-Michael and asked for a gun to protect herself. He gave it to her on the condition she never use it.

Meanwhile, Beth went to Jonathan and Tammy and asked for help in protecting Lizzie. After, Jonathan asked Tammy to marry him, and she accepted.

Reva woke up in her hotel room in New York City and found Billy sitting next to her bed. An exhausted Reva complained that she was very weak and tired, yet she needed her strength to go home to face Josh and Cassie. Reva told Billy how frustrated she was, but she didn't even have the energy to get upset. Billy told Reva that she needed a change of scenery. He started talking about how they could go to a ballgame, go to Little Italy, or even go to the top of the Empire State Building. As Billy was telling Reva about all the places they could go, she fell asleep. Billy continued to sit by her bedside, telling her to "rest, rest."

Jonathan and Tammy were in their room at the Beacon, basking in their newfound engagement. They decided that it might be best to tell Lizzie about it some other time. Suddenly, Lizzie herself rushed in, extremely jittery because of the gun in her purse. Tammy told Lizzie that Beth had stopped by the day before and had seemed worried about her. Lizzie then told them about the strange nursery that Alan had at the mansion, since apparently they hadn't gotten her message the previous day.

An upset Lizzie was convinced that Alan intended on keeping her a prisoner until her baby was born. Both Tammy and Jonathan were skeptical; they did not think Alan would go that far. To prove it to them, Lizzie tried to find the photos she had taken on her cell phone, but they were gone. She insisted that Alan had to have deleted them, but Jonathan thought Lizzie was just exaggerating. Lizzie was upset that they didn't believe her and decided she needed to take a walk to be alone.

When Lizzie stormed out, Tammy and Jonathan discussed whether her story could be true. Jonathan told Tammy he would at least check it out. When Tammy left the room, Jonathan got a call from Billy, who told him that Reva had had an episode the night before. He stated that Reva was very weak and frail and told Jonathan to stay by the phone, since he might need him quickly.

Josh and Cassie were at Company, finishing up dinner. Josh was discussing Hawk's reaction to their relationship and assured Cassie that that would probably be the worst reaction they got. At that point, Olivia entered and invited them both to the Beacon's pre-restoration celebration. When she told Josh that he could take Reva, he stated that Reva was out of town and had been for some time. He then announced that Cassie would be his date, since they had been seeing each other.

The news rocked an amused Olivia -- after all, Josh was still married the last time she'd checked. Josh defended himself by explaining that Reva was out of the picture, but Olivia told Josh and Cassie to do whatever made them happy. When Olivia left, Cassie followed her out and told Olivia to let her have it. But Olivia truly did not have any objections other than that, where Josh and Reva were concerned, the other woman always got burned. Olivia then asked how Reva had taken it, leading Cassie to admit that Reva did not know yet. Cassie asked Olivia to keep quiet. Olivia agreed but warned Cassie not to tell Reva in person because it would not be pretty.

Afterwards, Cassie reentered Company and told Josh about Olivia's question about how Reva had taken it. Josh started defending their decision by stating that they'd tried, but Cassie insisted that Reva needed to be told first; it was the right thing to do. Josh asked what that would mean. He asked if they should pretend they were just friends or back away from each other. Cassie stated she was not sure; she needed to take some time.

Ava and Coop arrived at the Beacon for Olivia's pre-Beacon restoration celebration. Buzz was surprised they were there, but Coop stated it was Ava's idea. They both wanted to accept Olivia for Buzz's sake. Later, Frank arrived and asked to speak to Buzz out in the hallway. Frank proceeded to tell his father his suspicion that Olivia was behind the Springfield Burns website, but they were interrupted when Olivia arrived.

Later, inside the room, Olivia thanked Frank for showing up, commenting that she was happy he could get past their history for his father's sake. Olivia started praising Buzz and how she would never jeopardize her relationship with him. Frank had heard enough and pointed out that she pretended to have turned over a new leaf but had a mean streak a mile wide. Buzz overheard and asked what was going on, so Frank accused Olivia of being behind Springfield Burns. Olivia was flabbergasted, and Frank showed her the photos that had been found in her bag.

Olivia finally found her voice and denied having anything to do with it. She insisted that she was being framed and accused Ava of not only framing her but being behind the website. To prove her innocence, Olivia went to her laptop to access the site. There on the front page was a picture of her with the message: "FAMILY FIRST. NOT FOR THIS SPRINGFIELD MOM. REMEMBER LABOR DAY." Shocked, Olivia promptly fainted.

As Josh and Cassie were leaving Company, they ran into Tammy and Jonathan, who were out looking for Lizzie. Tammy seemed more worried than Jonathan. He thought Lizzie was just being a drama queen and didn't want her to rule their lives -- other things were more important. During the conversation, Tammy announced to her mom and Josh that they were engaged. Cassie reacted warmly to the news by hugging Tammy, which surprised Jonathan, since she definitely would not have reacted that way the year before.

Cassie and Josh then made an announcement of their own -- they were seeing each other. Jonathan was floored and was so angry he could barely talk or control his anger. After Jonathan stopped himself from saying too much, Josh asked why he should "give a damn" about Reva's feelings.

Convinced she was being followed downtown, Lizzie returned to her room. Lizzie had a nightmare about Alan holding her prisoner, which freaked her out. She was able to go back to sleep but woke up again when she noticed someone was in her room. Lizzie grabbed her gun and fired.
