Gabe Lewis was introduced in the 6th season of the show as Sabre’s representative at Dunder Mifflin. Unlike other bosses in the show, Gabe has a title but not much power. He tries to take control but fails because of his shy personality and poor leadership skills. Many people, including Michael Scott, find him annoying and no one takes him seriously.

He tries to implement Sabre’s policies and inform employees about the rules, but his coworkers ignore and make fun of him. He is socially awkward, sensitive, and has a unique taste in horror films and music. Because of his personality, he also struggles with personal relationships, especially in his romantic life. In Season 7, Gabe started dating one of his coworkers, Erin Hannon.

Their relationship was one-sided as he was a rebound for Erin. Gabe was much more invested in their relationship than Erin. She always felt uncomfortable around him and they didn’t have any connection. Eventually, Erin breaks up with him and he gets heartbroken. He was desperate to get back with her. After his breakup, his awkwardness and sometimes obsessive behavior added humor to the show.
