Sheila dressed in a sexy nurse outfit for Halloween and regaled Deacon with stories of some of her finest and deadliest moments. Unable to watch Thomas fawn over Hope, Liam decided to forgo the fashion show. He showed up at the last minute but left again when he saw Hope and Thomas hug backstage. Hope and Thomas had their moment in the spotlight, and instead of going home to Liam and Beth, who wanted to see Hope, Hope celebrated at Eric's house with Thomas, Douglas, Zende, Eric, and Donna. Bill and Wyatt advised Liam to sock Thomas in the mouth, but Liam wanted to avoid such confrontations. Brooke and Bill banded together to be there for Liam, and Bill pledged to be there for Brooke, too, if she'd let him.

Xander accepted Ava's kidnapping job offer. E.J. suspected that Johnny wanted revenge. Paulina rehired Stephanie. Susan saw love in Johnny's future. Gabi was suspicious of Johnny's interest in Wendy. Kristen demanded that Li promote Chloe. Chloe took the promotion. Alex asked Nicole and Eric to model together. Wendy overheard Li talk to Kristen about E.J. and Rolf. Johnny confided in Susan. Stefan talked to Gabi about their wedding. Wendy found a lead on Rolf. Stefan and Chloe kissed. Kristen used Rachel's illness to get closer to Brady. Sarah ripped up Maggie's check. Elizabeth confronted her parents about the past. Jeff confessed to an affair with Reiko, and Elizabeth recalled the details of Reiko's fall in the staircase. Jeff explained that Reiko had suffered internal bleeding, and the blood used in the transfusion had been infected with the virus that had killed Reiko. Heather was revealed to have a flesh-eating illness found in the tropics. Mason arranged for Austin to treat a patient off the books for a gunshot wound. Austin asked Spinelli to run the algorithm on Austin and Maxie. Sam requested that Spinelli use the algorithm to see if Cody was hiding anything. Mac told Robert about Mac and Cody's DNA test. Victor reminded Holly of their agreement, and he threatened to kill a mystery prisoner if Holly refused to spy on Robert. Valentin received a helping hand from Laura and Kevin. The Hook sent an ominous letter to Alexis. Jordan realized that the Hook's victims were directly connected to Trina, so she warned both Josslyn and Trina to be careful. Jordan urged Portia to be honest with Curtis, but Portia insisted she needed more time to see if Curtis had the genetic marker for schizophrenia. Curtis and Portia settled on Valentine's Day for their wedding. Drew told Carly that they had to keep their relationship a secret because Ned had threatened to report Carly for insider trading. Liesl became concerned when she noticed that Britt had developed a cough. Willow decided that she wanted Michael at her visit with Terry.

Billy found a despondent Chelsea about to jump from the Grand Phoenix rooftop and physically restrained her from leaping to her death. Chelsea continued to insist that her pain had to end, and Billy summoned Sharon for help. Chelsea reluctantly agreed to check into a mental health facility to receive treatment. Billy vowed to be there for Chelsea, but Lily objected to Billy's mission to save every woman in his life. Adam became increasingly concerned when he couldn't get in touch with Chelsea, but Billy and Sharon kept Chelsea's situation confidential. Connor realized that he'd overreacted to the news that Chelsea was Johnny's biological mother. Kyle learned about Diane's lies and doubted he'd ever be able to trust his mother again. Summer confronted Phyllis about continuing to dig for dirt on Diane, but she agreed that Diane needed to go. Phyllis and Jack clashed over his giving Diane the benefit of the doubt. Tucker suspected Ashley was trying to lure him in and pledged to prove himself. Victoria ultimately convinced Nate to accept the CEO position at Newman Media. Devon witnessed Nate and Victoria celebrating Nate's new job and surmised that they had conspired to take over Chancellor-Winters. Nate was thrilled when Elena returned home after turning down the job in Baltimore, but the rift between them widened when she learned he'd taken a job at Newman. Abby and Chance argued when he attempted to address the resentment that had been building between them. Devon consoled Abby.
