Chris and Nicole spend another romantic day together. Nicole explains that she doesn't want to be a bitter ex-wife and will not try to take Bennett to the cleaners. Eve enters and Nicole finds out that Chris has a female roommate and its Eve and she walks out on him.
Kevin spends time with Serena who told him that she will run away if she is forced to stay with Rex Stanton. He is concerned with her emotional state and agrees to get Lucy to go through with her plan of getting close to Rex. He at first told Scott no, because he is concerned that Lucy will get hurt or worse.
At the funeral home, Danielle's memorial is going on. Jake stands before the group and says that Danielle died trying to uncover the truth about Rex and clear her name. After an emotional time, Scott has words with Rex and told him that he is to blame for Danielle's death. Rex walks away, and Lucy told Scott to start arguing with her to make it look like she is defending Rex. Rex and everyone else there is watching in amazement.

Lucy and Scott continue their charade of fighting each other. They decide not to tell Lee, Gail or Karen what they are doing to keep Rex in the dark. They don't want more people to find out and risk getting discovered. Kevin and Lucy go to lunch and Lee, Gail and Rex are there (not together), and Lucy picks a fight with them in front of Rex to make it look good. Gail and Lee are puzzled and wonder what is Lucy doing.
Rex attempts to make peace with Jake and told him that if he testifies against him, he will make it seem as though Jake was the kidnapper of Serena. Jake told him to try because if he does that Scott will be free of all charges.
Chris went to see Nicole to explain about Eve as his roommate. She doesn't want to hear it and slams the door in his face. On the way out of the hotel, he runs into Bennett on the elevator. He explains that he was looking at an empty suite for out of town relatives who were flying in. Bennett buys it and went to see Nicole. The two discuss the divorce and Bennett suggests they see a marriage counselor, she told him no and Bennett told her he will make the divorce hell for her.
At the hospital, Karen is served divorce papers. Grace and Ellen talk. Ellen apologizes for snapping at her the other day and Grace informs her that the interns are talking about her and Matt. Ellen is furious that there is talk about something between her and Matt. Jake is seen at a payphone and inquires about a gun.
At the coffeehouse, Devon spilled his drink. Kay approached him and asked if he needed a hand. Devon said he was just clumsy. Kay offered to help Devon if he ever needed a hand.
Scott, Lucy and Kevin discuss further their plans to trap Rex and allow Lucy to get closer to him. The three realize that they need a person to help them pass notes between Kevin and Lucy. Scott approaches Eve with the job and she accepts joyously.
At the Port Charles Grill, Lucy and Kevin arrive and they begin to have a fight in front of Rex and Eve is there as well smiling because she knows what is happening.
Jake can't seem to get a gun quick enough, and locates the name of a gun collector who he approaches. The two meet and Jake gets a gun. While at the bar with the man, Hoe enters and takes Jake home and once they get to Jake's apartment, Joe discovers that Jake has a gun.
At a lunch with Julie and Frank, Nicole discovers that Bennett has cut her off financially. She tries to buy lunch for the three of them and the waiter informs her that her credit cards are no good. She is furious and hunts Bennett down. She finds him at the hospital and he told her that he has to protect his credit if she continues to go through with the divorce. She told him that she will apply for her own credit cards, she doesn't need his. Bennett leaves. Chris and Eve return from lunch and Nicole approaches Chris privately and apologizes for getting angry at him and suggests they get together later so she can apologizes the right way to him.
Nicole sets Chris up. She arranges from him to come to her apartment to spend the evening together and then invites Bennett to come over and he catches Chris with his "pants down". He punches him in the mouth and leaves. Chris, angry, lashes out at Nicole saying that she set him up.
Jake and Joe discuss the gun Jake purchased to kill Rex with. He tells Joe to leave him be. Rex comes over and Jake points the gun in his face. A shot went off, but its in the wall. Jake realizes that he can't do this and lets Rex go. Rex told him that he should have killed him when he had the chance to.
Karen arranges to have a party to celebrate receiving her divorce from Jagger. She invites everyone over and seems overjoyed that its over in front of everyone. Later on the roof of the building, she cries because its over.
