Deacon was moved by Sheila's plight and kissed her before taking off for a mysterious meeting he'd been summoned to via text message. Brooke decided to create a romantic evening for herself and Ridge, but her plans were dashed when Steffy refused to pass Ridge's phone to him when Brooke called him. Brooke ordered Taylor to get her daughter in line, and Taylor told Brooke that Ridge loved two women. Ridge became emotional about the past and apologized to Taylor and Steffy for not being the husband and father they'd deserved. Brooke seemed alarmed as, during a confrontation with Thomas, he waved a knife around while talking with his hands.

Brando appeared to recover from the attack until he suffered a seizure and passed away. Before he died, Brando revealed a clue about his attacker. Tests concluded that the hook used on Brando had been covered with a deadly toxin. Finn recognized the rare toxin from his days working abroad with his late wife. Elizabeth had a breakthrough when Kevin put her under hypnosis. A drawing of the woman Elizabeth saw in her flashbacks bore an uncanny resemblance to Finn's late wife, Reiko. After an audition, Chase secured a gig at the Savoy. Maxie and Lucy worried that Brook Lynn was more focused on Chase's career than on work at Deception. Valentin and Anna devised a new game plan to deal with Victor. Victor hoped to sweep Lucy off her feet by setting sail on the Haunted Star. Carly learned that Peyton's beautification committee had plans to relocate the cemetery where Virginia was buried to make way for direct access to the beach. Sonny advised Carly to stay in Jacksonville until the killer terrorizing Port Charles was caught. The Port Charles Hooker prepared to strike again when they set their sights on Diane.

Nick objected to Victoria's plot to take over Chancellor-Winters by using inside information from Nate, but Victor supported the idea. Victoria agreed to make Nate CEO of Chancellor-Winters if the takeover was successful. Nate reclaimed his position at his family's company with the intent of securing enough shares to give Newman a controlling interest. Nate fumed when Elena had misgivings about his business dealings. Sally firmly told Adam she was moving on with her life. Summer was elated when Kyle proposed again. Kyle and Summer put Phyllis and Diane on notice that both women would be fired if there was another altercation between them. Jack later walked in on a heated confrontation between Phyllis and Diane. Diane resigned, and Kyle and Summer fired Phyllis. Noah threw a surprise pre-ceremony party for Kyle and Summer at Noah's new nightclub, planning for Phyllis and Diane to attend at different times. Phyllis arrived at the party early and was hurt that she'd been excluded. Kyle and Summer offered to give their mothers another chance at Marchetti. Nikki tracked down Deacon in L.A. and requested his help to get dirt on Diane. Deacon revealed that he'd seen Diane in a luxury car with another man, and he invited Nikki to meet him at his workplace, where he'd provide a key piece of information. Diane was unnerved when she received an anonymous text message about someone being on their way to Genoa City. Victoria reluctantly agreed to tell Johnny that Chelsea was his biological mother.
