Who is Roy in The Office?

Roy was introduced in the 1st episode of the show as Pam Beesly’s fiancé, who works in the office’s warehouse. Pam and Roy were engaged over 3 years at the start of the show. They were having a rough patch as Roy was not invested in their relationship. He didn’t support her dreams of becoming an artist and kept delaying their wedding. This created a distance between them.

Meanwhile, Jim, Pam’s close friend and co-worker who had feelings for her, supported her and understood her feelings, which Roy didn’t. Pam eventually realizes she deserves better and breaks up with him in Season 3. Pam realized her feelings for Jim but he was dating Karen at that time. Pam decided to give Roy a second chance and start fresh. She told him that she and Jim kissed on casino night. He got angry, reacted violently, and even tried to attack Jim, which got him fired from Dunder Mifflin.

This was a turning point in his life as Roy worked on himself after this incident. After his exit from Dunder Mifflin, he comes back in Season 9. Who plays Roy in The Office?

David Denman plays Roy in the show. He is an American actor, born on July 25, 1973, in Newport Beach, California, United States. He did his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Juilliard School. He made his TV debut with a minor appearance in the TV show ER in 1997. In 2000, he made his film debut with the film The Replacements. He gained popularity for playing Roy Anderson, Pam Beesly's ex-fiancé, in The Office from 2005 to 2012.
