Carter insisted to Paris that there was no hope for a relationship between them. When Quinn returned Carter's loft key to him, she figured out that he'd been seeing Paris. Carter revealed that he'd gotten involved in a relationship that could lead nowhere because he still had unresolved feelings for Quinn. Quinn confided that she missed Carter, and Eric was working and living mostly in the guesthouse. Steffy stunned her loved ones by awakening and calling Liam her sweet husband. Taylor refused to let anyone upset Steffy by telling her who Liam was really married to, but Brooke insisted that Hayes needed his mother. Brooke also suspected that Taylor wanted to drive a wedge between Hope and Liam. Ridge allowed Baker to question Steffy, and Steffy experienced hazy, cryptic flashes of memory from the night of the shooting.

Nancy matched with Clyde on a dating app. Brady and Chloe decided to go public with their relationship. Chad interrupted the double wedding to announce that Leo was already married to Jackie Cox. Jackie told Craig that Leo was conning Craig. Abigail told the wedding party about Gwen's misdeeds. Jack disowned Gwen, and Xander abandoned her. Rafe arrested Gwen. Gwen told Abigail that she had killed Laura on purpose. Chanel and Tripp bonded over drinks and kissed. Ben and Ciara agreed to name their son Bo. The devil made plans to kill Ben. After Abe rejected Paulina, T.R. made a pass at her. T.R. accidentally confessed to Beth that he'd been involved in Eli's shooting.

Alexis discovered Brendon Byrne's body floating in the harbor. Harmony slipped into Brendon's hotel room and stole Neil's case file on her. Alexis' concerns about Harmony mounted when she found Harmony drinking her troubles away, and Harmony demanded that Alexis kill Smoltz's story on Nina. Carly paid Alexis a visit, but she found Harmony about to burn incriminating evidence. Chase was knocked unconscious while surveilling Liz's home. The footage from the security cameras in Liz's house was corrupted. Marshall decided to leave town. Selina delivered the file on Marshall to Curtis. Curtis confided to Portia that Jordan was trying to help Trina. Britt was stood up by her date through the matchmaker service, but she had an unexpected encounter with Drew. Family and friends gathered to celebrate Ned adopting Leo. Spencer accused Josslyn of enlisting Trina to frame Esme when Cameron nearly spilled the beans about Spencer's plans to prove Esme's guilt. Furious, Cameron punched Spencer, and Spencer accidently hit Officer Rory Cabrera. Rory arrested Spencer and Cameron; however, Laura intervened on Cameron's behalf, and Rory decided to drop the charges against Spencer. Valentin paid Anna a visit, and the two shared a passionate kiss. Sonny made a power move.

Sharon covered her discomfort as Rey prepared to take Chelsea and Connor to a hockey game in Chicago. Rey realized he'd left the hockey tickets at home and left Crimson Lights to retrieve them. After Ashland relinquished his rights at Newman Locke and agreed to annul his marriage to Victoria, Victoria told him their relationship was over. Ashland finally confessed that he'd lied about having cancer but swore that he'd honestly fallen in love with Victoria. A distraught Victoria got behind the wheel and swerved off the road to avoid a car, crashing into a tree. Ashland, who'd been following Victoria, suffered injuries while rescuing her from her burning vehicle and carrying her to safety. Ashland informed Victoria that Rey had been the driver of the other car and hadn't made it. Ashland claimed that Rey had drifted into Victoria's lane and ultimately struck Ashland's car. The Newmans were relieved to find Victoria alive. Victoria was conflicted about her feelings for Ashland. Victoria bristled at Victor's suggestion that Adam remain CEO of Newman Locke while she healed. Sally admitted that she was falling in love with Adam. Victor demanded that Ashland leave town, but Ashland refused. Nick gently broke the news of Rey's death to a devastated Sharon. Sharon's family rallied to support her. Sharon objected to Mariah and Tessa delaying their nuptials. Sharon considered Celeste's request that Rey be buried in Miami. Adam and Chelsea comforted a heartbroken Connor.
