Kevin Blair Spirtas was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 29, 1962. He began his career on stage as a song and dance man in the Palace Show at Six Flags over Mid-America in 1980. It was the show's finale, "One Step", that made Kevin a star in St. Louis.

His early work was credited under the name Kevin Blair until 1995 when he began using the name Kevin Spirtas professionally. Kevin came to Broadway performing as Mike Costa in A Chorus Line and as Warren Sheffield in Meet Me in St. Louis. By 1996 he had been hailed with the Dramalogue Critics Award for his portrayal of Nick Brenner in the comedy "End of the World Party" in Los Angeles. He worked his way into films as a stunt performer as his expertise grew into the genre of drama and mystery as well as horror films in Part VII of the classic feature Friday the 13th.

His numerous television appearances began in 1984 on the late-night series Rituals. Throughout the 80's and 90's, Kevin's wide array of TV portrayals continued, ranging from participating as a celebrity contestant on Search Party to playing his now well-known Daytime character "Dr. Craig Wesley" on the sitcom, Friends.

Kevin added Daytime to his credits when he appeared as Les on The Young and the Restless in 1997. In 1997 he also joined the cast of Days of our Lives as Dr. Craig Wesley, a part he continued to play until being released from his contract in 2003.
