Dinah might have taken too many of her mother's blood pressure pills. She kept thinking that it might be the end, and she might die. Hart remained by her side and said that he would do anything for her. Dinah managed to say that all she'd ever wanted was to marry him. Hart said that he would marry her.

Dr. Cedwick told Vanessa that there was an experimental drug to try, but it had pretty bad side effects. Vanessa gave the go-ahead to try it.

A priest was called in, and he ended up performing a three-second marriage ceremony between Hart and Dinah.

Harley threw a luncheon for Cassie. Reva, Selena, and Jenna were all there to support her through the terrible time in which Hart was having to stay with Dinah. Cassie didn't yet know that Hart had married Dinah.

Blake wheeled herself into Ben's bathroom and found him underwater. She tried to get her wheelchair over the threshold but was unable to. Blake ended up walking over to him and pulling him out of the bathtub. She performed CPR and revived him. Ben hugged her and was elated that she could finally walk. They realized it was the work of the Nursery Rhyme Stalker.

Tuesday, October 6, 1998

Blake rescued Ben from drowning in his tub after he was poisoned by the stalker. Of course, in the process of rushing to his aid, she jumped out of the wheelchair, and ran to him.

Ross asked Vanessa where her high blood pressure pills were, as her blood pressure was all messed up from worrying about Dinah.

Hart married Dinah in her hospital room, as he believed she was dying. She was, but it had been a scheme of hers gone bad. Dinah thought to herself that since she'd finally gotten Hart to marry her, it might be for nothing because she was dying from taking too many of her mother's high blood pressure pills.

Cassie thanked Reva for showing her a good time and helping her to temporarily forget her troubles with Hart and Dinah. Reva urged her to tell Hart about her pregnancy, and said that although she thought Hart was trying to do right by everyone, she wished he would do right by Cassie. Cassie reminded her he didn't know that she was pregnant. Reva predicted that Dinah would pull through and that the three of them would have dramatically different lives as a result of Dinah's brush with death.

Hart kissed the bride - Dinah -- and she told him she loved him. He spoke with the priest, who gave them his blessing. Dinah thought to herself that she didn't want to die since she'd tricked Hart into marrying her.

Cassie told Reva she'd prayed that something good would happen for Dinah, because then she'd leave Hart alone, and Reva said in that case, she hoped for the best for Dinah. Josh surprised Reva with champagne, and Cassie quickly excused herself, saying she would go to the hospital to check on Dinah and see if Hart needed a ride to the farm. Reva told Josh she appreciated the thought, but her mind was on Cassie and her troubles at that moment. Josh said he understood.

Ben and Blake laughed about her walking again. Ben told her she'd saved his life. He said that Ross hadn't made her get out of that chair; he had. Blake told Ben she couldn't lie to him. The reason she had stopped by in the first place had been to tell him he needed to stay out of her life because Ross didn't want him around the boys, and she couldn't risk a custody battle.

Blake told Ben they needed to get to the hospital because the stalker had poisoned him, but he begged her to walk one more time for him, just to make sure she could. She did. She said she had seen him drowning, and had needed to save him. He told her to tell him that she loved him, not Ross. Blake reminded him that they had to go to the hospital. She rushed to call an ambulance when Ben collapsed, coughing, to the ground.

Ross again offered to get Vanessa's pills, and she told him where she'd left them. Matt walked in to comfort Vanessa. She told him Dinah was worse, and the priest had been in to give her last rites. She told him that Bill had gone after Hart and that he blamed Hart for everything that had happened to Dinah. She told him that Bill had taken off out of the hospital, and no one knew where he had gone.

Beth walked in, unseen by Vanessa, and Matt motioned her away. He told Vanessa to go get her pills from Ross, and he'd meet up with her with some water. He then caught up with Beth and asked her to leave, saying that her presence there would upset Vanessa.

Hart tried to get Dinah to fight. The nurse told him that Dinah was getting weaker, and Hart told Ross. Ross thanked Hart for marrying Dinah. Cassie, of course, overheard. She asked him if he'd really married Dinah. He said yes, because it had been her dying wish. Vanessa went in to check on Dinah. Cassie said, "She must be feeling so much better, now that you married her." She walked away.

Vanessa told Dinah that she and her father were there. She said that Hart had married her, and she had everything to live for. Dinah muttered something about Hart only marrying her because she was dying, but Vanessa said no; he'd married her because he loved her.

Beth told Matt she had only stopped by the hospital to look for her lost watch. Matt pulled it out of his pocket and gave it to her. She told Matt to call her if he needed anything. Matt walked away, and Harley walked up to Beth and asked her why Vanessa would be upset to find her with Matt.

Blake went into the hospital with Ben and told the nurses he'd been poisoned by some unknown substance by the stalker and asked them to help him. She begged them to find out what the unknown substance was.

Josh and Reva remembered their vacation in Hawaii. Josh asked her to sell the business and move to Hawaii permanently. She said no because they had responsibilities, family, and friends there. She added that she wouldn't allow Annie to chase them away. He said it was not that -- it had just been so nice when they had been on vacation that he wished they could get that feeling back again. She told him she needed to go check on the kids. She returned, dressed in a Hawaiian outfit complete with lei.

Matt went in to see Dinah. He overheard Vanessa telling Dinah how much Hart loved her. Ross started to stop her but then agreed to tell her whatever was necessary to get her to fight. He told her how happy he was to learn that she and Hart had gotten married, but when she got better, they'd have to do it again, so she could have a big fancy wedding, and he could walk her down the aisle. Vanessa said Dinah would get her a beautiful wedding dress. Dinah seemed unresponsive, so Ross went to get Hart.

Hart told Cassie not to get angry, but Dinah was dying, and he'd had to marry her because it had been her last wish. He added that he was the one who had put her there, and Dinah knew what was happening to her and had told him that was the only thing she wanted. He said, "I did this for her. I wanted to do this for her." He explained how they'd both signed the marriage certificate when Dinah had been conscious. Ross walked up and asked Hart to talk with Dinah. Cassie told him to go ahead.

Blake ran into Ross at the hospital. He asked her how she was able to walk again. Ben walked out and said that Blake had gotten out of the wheelchair because she had been trying to save his life. He explained that he had been drugged and drowning and that Blake had walked again to save him. He left with the nurse for more tests.

Blake told Ross the only reason she had gone to Ben's apartment had been to tell him that he had to stay out of her life, as Ross wanted, but when she'd gotten there, he had been drowning and drugged, and if she hadn't happened along when she had, he would have died. Ross said that meant that actually he'd saved Ben's life. She told him she would like to see Dinah, but he said, "No, family only," and walked away.

Harley confronted Beth about Matt and about going after married or unavailable men. She said Beth had made very bad choices related to men and relationships and that she was only concerned about it because she cared about Lizzie and didn't want to see her hurt. Beth told her to "stay the hell out of my life!"

Hart told Dinah that they had to think about where they would go for their honeymoon. He asked her if she would like to go back to Switzerland, since she'd loved it there so much the last time. He asked her to remember the things they had done there and what a great time they'd had. She thought about their last trip there together. He told her they'd had some really good times. He cried and told her they could go shopping and hiking. He told her not to leave him and that she had to stay with him. Cassie, of course, overheard. Ross walked away.

Reva and Josh got cozy.

Ben began coughing, and Blake rushed in. Ross looked into the room at the two of them together.

Vanessa and Matt looked on as Hart talked to Dinah. He told her to think about all the people who loved her and wanted her to live. He told her, "Don't you leave me!"

Hart told Cassie that he'd had to go into Dinah's room and talk with her. Cassie told him she understood why he'd married Dinah and why he was doing all that. She told him how sorry she was.

Meanwhile, Dinah's nurse said, "Huh, her blood pressure is going up a little." Dinah said to herself, "I have to fight. I'm not going to die!"

Sean arrived and interrupted Josh and Reva's romantic plans. Sean admitted to Reva that he had strong feelings for her but quickly stopped talking when Josh returned.

Ross thanked Hart for everything he had done to help his daughter get better. Vanessa pleaded with Hart to stay with Dinah until she was out of danger.

Ben was pleased when his doctor gave him a clean bill of health but then explained that he had ingested the same weed killer that had caused Harley to pass out. Teri and Frank interrupted Ben and Blake with the news that their investigation of the Nursery Rhyme Stalker was switching from Annie to a new suspect.

On the way to question Ken, Teri blasted Frank for explaining proper police procedure to her in front of Ben and Blake and apologized again for the innocent kiss she had given him.

Despite Holly's frantic pleas that her brother was innocent, Frank and Teri decided that Ken was their number one suspect after the attack on Ben.

When Blake asked Ross about his daughter, Dinah, he suggested that since she was walking, she could "go straight to hell." Ross ignored Ben's taunts and promised his brother a fight in court for custody of the twins.

Realizing that Dinah had taken Vanessa's blood pressure pills to put her own life in danger, Bill blasted his sister for trying to snare Hart in such a dangerous and drastic manner. A weak but still-scheming Dinah pleaded with him to keep her secret and claimed that if he told the doctors what she had done, she would most certainly die. Bill finally agreed to keep her secret.

Reva and Sean were outraged when Cassie admitted that she'd okayed Hart's idea of marrying Dinah in order to save her life. Reva stunned her with the thought that Dinah would never give up Hart should she get better.

Hart interrupted Reva and Cassie's discussion, but before he could talk with Cassie, Sean sarcastically called him a superhero for being able to save Dinah's life.

Hart wouldn't give her a straight answer when Cassie asked him if he'd be able to annul his marriage since Dinah was getting better. Later, frustrated that Cassie still hadn't told him, Sean leaked to Hart that Cassie was pregnant.

Frank and Teri took a moment to discuss their working relationship.

Phillip tried to protect Harley from an angry Ken.

Determined to raise enough money to find her daughter, Selena angered Drew when Mick offered her a job at Millennium. Dahlia was upset when David interfered with her failed relationship with Marcus.

Friday, October 9, 1998

Ken pushed his way into Harley's apartment and told her that he had been watching her for a long time. Despite his odd behavior, he told her that he wasn't the stalker and had only wanted to hire her to clear his name. She offered to take some notes but made the mistake of picking up the phone. After she got him to calm down, she was able to take the phone off the hook and call Phillip, who was buying dinner.

Phillip got the call and only heard Ken talking about the stalker -- he assumed that Harley was in danger and rushed out the door with Teri and Frank close behind. Back at Harley's, she was finally getting Ken to talk to her when Phillip, Teri, and Frank busted in. Ken, desperate to stay out of the sanitarium, held a knife to Harley, and Frank threatened to shoot.

Blake visited Ben and took him some chicken soup. Ben told her that he would someday repay her then gave her a key to his room. At first, she refused the key, but Ben told her that she was the first woman he had ever wanted to give his key to and that because of her, he wanted to do great things for people.

Ross had a talk with Josh and remained extremely resentful of Blake. A woman entered the boarding house that reminded him of Blake.

Hart asked Sean to leave so that he could finish his conversation with Cassie. Sean got mad when Hart grabbed Cassie and broke the news that she was pregnant. Cassie immediately claimed that Sean was the father, which left Hart in total disbelief -- as well as Reva and Sean. While Reva and Hart talked outside, Sean scolded Cassie for not telling the truth.

Once they were left alone to talk, Hart told Cassie that he didn't buy her story -- he thought that the baby was his. Hart asked her if she still loved him, and she told him that it didn't matter because he was with Dinah. She finally suggested that they not see each other anymore. After hearing that, Hart left her to be comforted by Reva. She begged Sean and Reva to go along with her plan, and Sean agreed. Afterwards, Sean told Reva that he still loved her -- Josh walked in and overheard his confession.

Meanwhile, Vanessa was visiting with Dinah when Hart arrived. He told Dinah about Cassie's news, and Dinah was delighted. She told Hart that pretty soon he would forget all about Cassie. Hart didn't seem to want to talk about it and left. Vanessa, on the other hand, was stunned at what Cassie had done.

Dinah was obsessed with her new marriage and told Vanessa that all of her dreams were finally real -- she and Hart would be better than before, with no interferences; she could get pregnant, and that time it could really be his. Vanessa caught on quickly and confronted Dinah by asking her if after all that had happened, the baby wasn't even Hart's.
