An excited Roxy showed Natalie the space she'd selected for her new beauty salon. Joey offered Jen his sympathies on the loss of her father. Nigel had trouble hiding his disdain when Asa waxed poetic on the subject of Roxy. In need of some quick cash, Flash hesitantly agreed to accompany a stranger back to his motel room. A tearful Jen confided to Joey how badly she had disappointed Sam in recent years.

Crisitian gently suggested to Viki that she give Natalie some space instead of working too hard to reconnect the girl to her family too soon. Flash got cold feet and told her disgruntled "john" she couldn't go through with their arrangement. Mitch assured his skeptical attorney that the judge was sure to see things their way. Bo questioned Lindsay about Sam's final days.

Searching for an investor to help her achieve her life's dream, Roxy was thrilled when Asa stepped forward with an offer. Mitch threatened to expose Judge Grafton's dirty little secret unless he played ball. A spectral Sam continued to dog Lindsay's steps. Joey hurried to rescue his friend after receiving a frantic call from Flash. Jen told Bo about spotting her mother with a gun.

Jessica offered Will her condolences as he returned to Llanview to bury his father. Standing by Sam's casket, Lindsay was again overwhelmed with guilt. Inside the church, Andrew was amused by Joey's jitters as he prepared to officiate at his first funeral service. Roxy assembled a work crew to begin building her first "Hair Haven." Troy reassured a frightened Matthew that his dad was watching over him from heaven.

Mitch advised Viki to start packing her things because she'd soon have to vacate both Llanfair and the Banner. Asa was forced to play referee when Nigel and Roxy fired verbal barrages at one another. Though Viki gently insisted that her brother would never have hurt Sam, Will vowed to see Todd pay for his sins. Blair sneaked into Mitch's house to search for incriminating evidence.

Lindsay shook when she saw Sam's ghost materialize in the middle of the memorial service. Roxy barged in on Natalie and her lover to ask Cristian if he'd contribute a mural to her new business endeavor. Blair trailed Mitch and his henchman to the mausoleum, where she overheard them discussing how they had stuffed Todd into Victor's casket.

Certain Todd was suffocating inside the sarcophagus, a frantic Blair tried to rescue him but was unable to pry off the heavy concrete lid. Lindsay rose at Sam's funeral service to inform the astonished mourners that Troy was the one who should have died. As he began working on Roxy's mural, Cristian thanked Natalie for inspiring him to begin painting again.

Responding to a call about a possible burglary in Angel Square, an edgy Antonio burst into the Hair Haven with his gun drawn but realized just in the nick of time that he was aiming at his own brother. Blair called the police for help, but they refused to believe her wild tale. A starry-eyed Marcie daydreamed about walking down the aisle with Joey. Questioned again by Bo, Lindsay claimed the gun Jen had seen had only been a toy.

Cristian invited Antonio to the dinner Natalie was planning for Carlotta. Meanwhile, at the diner, Jessica encouraged Carlotta to give Natalie a chance. After Jen cruelly insulted Marcie, Joey tried to make the unhappy girl feel better. Mistaking the curate's kindness for a come-on, Marcie suddenly planted a kiss on a startled Joey. Blair was shocked when the sarcophagus proved to contain only the body of Victor Lord.

With the probate hearing looming near, Viki shuddered to think that Mitch could be on the verge of robbing her and her family of everything they owned. On the heels of Blair's arrest, Bo quietly explained to Nora that the move might smoke out Sam's real killer. Will and Jen were troubled by their mother's increasingly erratic behavior as Sam's ghost continued to whisper in Lindsay's ear.

Joey encouraged Flash to open up about the incident at the sleazy motel. Freed on bail, Blair accused Nora of letting Sam's true murderer get off scot-free. Enraged when his valet's cigarette ruined his favorite hat, Asa declared that the salon project was off unless Nigel kicked the habit. Viki and Jessica were devastated when the judge ruled that Mitch was legally entitled to all of Victor Lord's assets.

Gabrielle showed Bo an anonymous note that had been left under their door. Flash surreptitiously lifted Joey's wallet and left behind a note explaining that she had set off to find C.J. Mitch gloated as Viki was ordered to vacate Llanfair within 24 hours. Speculating that Troy was the actual intended victim, Bo and Nora realized that Lindsay needed to become their prime suspect.

Natalie nervously made the final preparations for her dinner party. Jen apologized for hurting Marcie's feelings then was astonished when her mortified friend revealed how she had made a fool of herself with Joey. Jessica helped her unhappy mother pack her things as the deadline for leaving Llanview drew near.

Meanwhile, Mitch advised a jittery Lindsay to stop dropping hints to the police if she knew what was good for her. Furious with Cristian for rejecting Jen, Will warned Natalie that her boyfriend would eventually betray her too. Bo and Nora found more evidence pointing to their prime suspect.

Worried about losing his job as the campus radio station's late night DJ, Al realized he'd have to make a more concerted effort to keep up his grades. Nora's questions rattled Lindsay, who found it increasingly difficult to maintain any shred of composure. At the precinct house, Jen recognized the murder weapon as the gun she had seen in her mother's hand shortly before Sam had died.
