Born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in Kensington, Maryland, Born spent two years at Boston University pursuing a degree in theater. His classmates included Alfre Woodard and Paul Reubens (a.k.a Pee Wee Herman). Further study includes training under Uta Hagen at the H.B. Studios.
